Will it hurt?
The sensitivity that this treatment produces feels similar to that of mild sunburn which may be a little uncomfortable, but not necessarily painful. Due to the procedure involving warming of the skin, it may be necessary for cool packs to be applied at intervals of the treatment and also when it has finished. This will help to calm the skin and ease any feelings of sensitivity.
Are there any associated side effects or risks?
Immediate effects of the treatment can include: swelling, bruising, redness and sensitivity. These are temporary effects which have often eased to a more comfortable state within 24 hours.
